The OS Always Gets the Last Word

..and that’s why the OS is female.

 OUCH!

 Okay, okay, just kidding…

Some interesting posts in the Christian Progressive Rock Yahoo group recently have produced some news about one of my favorite musicians, Mr. Neal Morse.  It seems that he, Randy George and Mike Portnoy have been working some more of their incredible magic in the studio.  Take a look at the video linked at the very top of this page for a bit of a sneak peak.  This is material that will eventually become the latest Neal Morse album, hopefully by the end of the year.  If you haven’t heard “?” yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up.  I can’t recommend it enough.

Feeling a little bit down in the dumps today, I took a ride down to Barnes & Noble and picked up a new King Crimson disc.  A little EP a few years old called “Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With“.  I figured maybe it was some kind of fate thing.  Or at least something I needed to hear.  Very good disc, despite the fact that it’s an EP.  In fact, I think I enjoy it more than “Discipline” which I picked up months ago as my first foray into King Crimson.  They do a lot of short, moody electronic voice stuff between tracks on this EP.  It reminds me a bit of the highly-processed voice that Pink Floyd put in bits and pieces of “A Momentary Lapse of Reason“, which is one of my favorite Floyd discs.  I don’t care what the critics say.  “On the Turning Away” is one of my favorite songs…

Well, I suppose I’ve gone out of character enough for today.  Happy Wednesday!

Love it! Invalid arguments - the epitomy of my life. 95% of the time, heck, I don’t even know what my position is. Note to self: Disengage face cavern. Engage central skull muscle. Less noise. Fewer headaches. I’m usually wrong anyway! And, why don’t we come with built-in ear plugs? The voice receivers seem to be the ignition switch and stimulate the mouth reflex. Should I be speaking for myself? Lend me your ear… plugs! Ah! Silence is the key to true peace - at least one key?

    My edjumacation! - No time.
I don’t even remember what time is. I never have any now.
I’ll be a changed man in two years! Then, I won’t even be able to think straight, not to mention being funny. I’m afraid you will have lost the brother you knew so well. I’ll become straight-laced, and stiff as a stick, and absolutely NO fun! … - Hey, wait a minute! I guess I won’t change after all!!
    Keep luvin’ life Bro!
