Cruelty to Animals
This strip originally came in a series about Alan’s fish. It’s meant to follow this one that I posted earlier.
Sadly I had to resort to posting an older toon tonight. The family had an engagement at my oldest daughter’s school. She’s in the 4th grade orchestra which backed up a little show that the entire 4th grade student body put on for the parents. She played the viola and the song was for a square-dance. The orchestra sounded fantastic and Korina was very nervous, so we couldn’t be more proud. She really stepped up and did a great job.
Well, for those of you out there who are fans of Lost, there was a bit of news this week. It’s already pretty much general knowledge that they’ve decided to write the ending of the show and put some structure into their seasons, actually working toward a planned end. This is fantastic news for us fans who just seem to get 10 more questions for every answer. The news this week, tho, is that they’ve beefed up their writing staff with a name fairly prominent in the graphic novel world, Mr. Brian K. Vaughan. He’s the author of “Pride of Baghdad” and “Y“, to give a couple of examples. Now, to be honest I know absolutely nothing about this man. Except that he seems to be a very humble. I only came across this bit of news via this weeks’ iFanboy video podcast which is only in it’s 2nd episode. If you’re into comics, I highly recommend giving these guys a listen. Just be prepared for an f-bomb here and there, which if you’re really into modern comics, probably doesn’t bother you anyway. Anyway, the iFanboy gents get a chance to interview Mr. Vaughan at one of their local comic stores and it’s a very insightful show. Might have to see if I can get a look at one of this guy’s projects. In the meantime, it sounds like we can look forward to seeing some actual structure in the stories of Lost soon. I hope. Please?
YAY! It’s FRIDAY!! Have some fun today!
