Unfortunate Hero Moniker
Phlem Wad Attacks!! Now that’s a headline!
My Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium Edition manuals finally arrived yesterday. So last night I started putting together an animated version of Monday’s strip in Flash. Xara, the program I use to do the final steps of each strip, has the ability to export to Flash’s file type, .swf. So I took the characters from the still frames of the strip and edited them to make frames for Alan walking up behind Nergon and Nergon turning his screwdriver. It took me 3 hours to come up with 14 seconds worth. And that’s at 12 frames per second. So I have a long way to go, but it’s a fun project and I plan to post it here when it’s done. Actually, I was thinking it might be fun to do some animated cartoons of Nergon as a superhero now and then. As kind of an unrelated companion to the strip. We’ll see how that goes…
Also, in the way of upcoming changes, I’m planning on upgrading my installation of ComicsPress to version 2 very soon. This will enable me to post multiple times per day and still show the current comic at the top of the page. Similar to the setup for Extra Life, Mission Deep, and several other web comic sites. That way when I come across some cool news I can quickly add a post without affecting the display of the current comic. Very cool. Can’t wait to get that setup.
All these projects…. Well, for now I’m happy to work on the “Zzzz” project…
Happy Wednesday, all!

Man , I wish I was ther to help ya. That sounds like so much fun. I can’t wait to hear the voices you plan on providing for Nergon and Alan.

Well…actually I decided not to do voices. It’ll be a lot like a comic strip, but animated. So there will still be text. I’m not a sound expert, I dont’ have any proper sound equipment, and I have not yet figured out a good voice for Nergon. Not for a laok of trying, but one of these days I’m sure I’ll figure all that out. But for now I’m working on animating comic strips, basically. That way I get some practice on animating for that day when I can add in sound and do it properly.

Maybe get Jeff Bennett (Voice of Broklyn from Gargoyles) to provide the voice of Alan and Nathan Fillion for Nergon?
Bruce Campbell can provide the voice of the big guy with the goatee.
*Not sure what his name is? You need to update your Characters list.
Maybe get Kerry to play the three (now four) eye Regi. That would be funny.

i thought nergon was a sanguine or a melancholy, but this latest theme you got going has definitely proven him to be a phlegmatic.
