Gud Naybor
I know it’s been done. In fact, Stephan Pastis has done it. You take your own characters and you make little jokes out of them appearing with other people’s characters. I know. It’s a tired old tactic since Bloom County was winding down to its last strips and had its characters looking for work in other comics. But what can I say. I thought it would be fun to do this with Candice since it has been forever since she’s been seen in Stranger Things and I’ve gotten this question quite a few times. What happened to Candice? Well I thought it would be fun if Nergon himself asked the same question. Since she’s his pet and all and he should probably know where she is. And if I’m gunna do the tired old crossover thing, why not infringe on the strips that I find inspiring. Right? Sure, why not.
Happy Wednesday!

Sweet, I think Candice could whoop them in a fight.

There is a tradition of doing crossovers on April 1st for several syndicates. I asked Michael Jantze (The Norm) about it and he said that it is usually tollerated as long as it is not over done.

I had forgotten about the April Fool’s Day thing. I read about that on ToonTalk awhile back. I think that’s very cool. Of all the people in the world, cartoonists should be able to have a sense of humor about their work. In fact, I always wanted to do cartoon of what an internet message board for cartoonists should look like. Instead of a bunch of text, it would be a bunch of doodles with word balloons….
