Snipescript

Or is it Snipescript Pro?  Reminds me of a book I saw on a coworkers desk as I walked down the hall the other day.  Java 1.1.  Now, mind you this was just a couple of days ago, not like 1956 when Java 1.1 was the hot new thing.  Not quite sure what was up with that.  Maybe he’s going in chronological order like a series of novels.  There’s a cartoon in there somewhere I just know it.  Might even be better than this one…

This toon is kind of a cross between looking at job openings and the memory of a discussion I had with a tech marketing guy in a meeting once.  We were talking about all of our weird codenames for different products and sofware tools and I mentioned that a guy could pretty much just use any random word in a meeting and there’s a good chance it would actually be a codename for something.  So in the cauldron of strangeness that is between my ears, this percolated and spewed forth.  My sincere apologies.

Well after spending Saturday at Newport like I mentioned earlier, we spent Sunday driving all the way across Oregon.  And even beat Lewis and Clark’s time at that.  Lois and Clark is a whole other story, however.  But I digress.  As my wife read the new Harry Potter book from Woodburn to Nampa, I was left to my own devices and decided to pass some of the time listening to some podcasts.  I’ve been catching up on a relatively new one called Comics Coast to Coast, hosted by Brian from ELR and a couple buddies.  If you’re interested in cartooning at all and have not heard this podcast, you owe it to yourself to subscribe.  EXTREMELY informative and very helpful to those of us who are still milling about in the primordial goo of our own webcomic chaos.  The Stephan Pastis episode, the Brian Anderson one, Baldo…it’s all good.   Check it out.

And have a very happy Wednesday.  Take her easy on the comics…it’s kind of a rough load for us Marvel fanboys.

From Woodburn to Nampa and you didn’t stop by and say hi on your way thru town!! I am stuck here in Pendleton, it would have been just off the road. I could have given you a tour of our facility , let you sit in the cockpit of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter and everything. Don’t know what your missing man.

Same here, not even a quick call to me in Portland. I could have drove to meet you on the highway. I could have gotten you lunch at Shari’s.
don’t know what you are missing man.

Peri- I’m game for a seat in that Chinook Helicpoter sometime. sweeeet

I didn’t even know you were in Pendleton. I knew you were once, but I didn’t know you were in this modern day and age. :) And if I knew I could warm the seat of a Chinook Helicopter I totally would have been there.

And I DID call you, Tab!! To ask permission to baptize your son…

Actually I had tunnel vision anyway. Left Newport at 10:30 am our time and arrived home at 7:45 pm. I was a man on a mission to get home. Co-directing camp is exhausting and visions of my own bed and short, sweet 8-hour workdays were intoxicating me. And I got to stay in a trailer. I’d hate to be one of the counselors who slept in cabins all week. Those guys are hard-core. But trust me, keeping all the activities going from 7:30 am until 10:00 pm for 107 kids and having to speak everyday does not make for a relaxing vacation. Course Aaron works harder than me, but still…

Well, I’m sorry you didn’t think the cartoon was funny, but having looked over the HP job postings, that’s pretty much what most of them are like. I felt darn near right at home.

Doh, thats right you did call me. oops. Short term , what can I say.

Love the toon BTW. The head of the Helpdesk might just do that on his new job opening to see if anyone claims that they know any of the made up job terms. hehe.

I don’t know what you’re talking about…I left camp feeling perfectly refreshed.
