Biblical Action Figures

August 20th, 2007

Randall posted a link to this article on his blog and I wanted to do the same.  I was very impressed by the points made and, being a fan of Spider-Man comics (you should see my little drawing space at home), I heartily agree with the author’s statements.  Not everyone mentioned in the Bible would make a good alternative role-model to at least some that the secular world offers to children.  I think Spider-Man is an excellent case in point.  And many Bible stories are extremely graphic.  You might think a David action figure is a great idea, but then are you going to let your kids use it to recreate the story of David collecting 200 Philistine foreskins?  Hmmm….

Ahh geeze Did you have to point that out?
How about Paul with Real “sandal dusting action” Granted Paul would have several accessories. What a great marketing idea. You would have letter writing Paul, Wondering in the desert Paul, House arrest Paul, and my favorite…..Shipwreck Paul…ect..
