This is messed up.

One of those news stories that is extremely baffling. Did they really think they could get away with it? These are federal employees for freaking out loud. Didn’t the option of honestly presenting themselves to the public with whatever news they had occur to them? If you can’t get a news conference with reporters put together, just do something else. Present a statement. Something. But for Pete’s sake, don’t hold a fake news conference with no reporters and hope that the news agencies won’t notice they weren’t invited… This IS the PRESS we’re talking about. If you do something stupid, they have the power of…the PRESS. Man, whoever masterminded this little hoo-haw is probably going to be a presidential candidate someday.
