So yeah, my PS3’s Blu-Ray drive died this weekend.  It was really sad.  Plays DVDs and anything on the hard drive just fine and dandy, but you stick a Blu-Ray in there and it just sits there staring at you for awhile before complaining about an invalid disc or some such nonsense.

So I put in “Hotel Rwanda” from Netflix since I could still play DVDs…and shortly thereafter realized that my PS3 dying is really not such a bad thing.  I get a box in the mail, I ship it to Sony, and they fix it.  And I don’t have to deal with armed rebels trying to kill my neighbors and all of my family.  Wow that movie was amazing.  One of those reminders that I live like a king in the USA and I really should not complain…And maybe I should spend some time thinking about what I can do for others instead of what I can do for me.

And while we’re discussing lack of luck, I want to point out that the woman who is unlucky enough to be married to me is having a BIRTHDAY today!!  Happy birthday, babe!!!  I somehow conned you into thinking I was a decent enough man to marry, but I’m not sorry.  I don’t know how I’d face the world without you.  Love you and I hope you enjoy your day.
