Hmmm … granted I have no idea what DOT is, but still … I would think one violence verb should be the same as any other. A stab by any other name …

OK. You can’t DOT *at* someone. You DOT them. Yes, both verbs (granted, one is MMO jargon), but they aren’t grammatically used the same way in the structure of a sentence.
Besides, I DIDN’T misquote Khan, I wrote “as Ricardo Montalban would say”, not “as Ricardo Montalban” said. I changed the original quote (of a quote, mind you) to make a *joke* out of it.
