What Half-Life:Source SHOULD Have Been

December 4th, 2008

If you bought Half-Life 2 and got the Half-Life:Source freebie with it, then you may have expected something like this video shows – The original Half-Life game re-done in the new Source engine that HL2 uses.  But this video is nothing like what we got.  The textures, the models all looked the same as the original 1998 game.  Looks like some devoted tech-powered fans are aiming to put this right.  Take a gander.  What do you think?  I for one would jump at the chance to play all the way thru this game again in this amazingly face-lifted experience.  Bring back the memories, bring on the head crabs.

looks great! HL is easily the best single player game ever. speaking of new games, how about Call of Duty 6? coming out in a “women’s only” version: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/weedenskifnf/34qo01y.jpg

I am still waitng for Half-life the movie…You could either make it a trillogy each from the perspetive of a different person like the games. Gordon, Barney or Shepard the (op force guy) or it could be one movie that switches back and forth between them. Either way it would be a good flick if they actually held true to the game like so many game to movies don’t.
